Chris Bremble

Chris Bremble is the Founder and CEO of Base Media, one of Asia's leading visual effects and animation studios. Over the past two decades, he has built Base into a creative studio with deep roots in China's entertainment industry, international productions, and original IP development.
With extensive experience across visual effects and animation, Chris has been closely involved in the growth and evolution of China's animation ecosystem. Base FX, the visual effects division of Base Media, has worked extensively across major Hollywood film and television productions and has received three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Special Visual Effects, with Chris himself being a three-time Emmy Award recipient. Under his leadership, Base FX has also contributed to some of China's most influential animated productions, including Ne Zha 2 and the latestBoonie Bears franchise, while Base Pictures focuses on developing and producing original animated IP.
Beyond his role as a studio leader, Chris is also the creator of the original animated feature Wish Dragon. Released theatrically in China before launching globally on Netflix in 2021, the film gave Chris firsthand experience in developing an original animated IP for the Chinese theatrical market and bringing it to audiences around the world. The success of Wish Dragon also led to the ongoing development of Wish Dragon 2, continuing Base Pictures' exploration of original storytelling rooted in cross-cultural experiences.
