Maciej Kuciara is a Polish artist and director who made his professional debut in 2004. Over the past two decades, he has established a signature artistic style, merging cutting-edge technology and 3D graphics with traditional art and animation aesthetics to create a distinct visual experience. His innovative approach has influenced a new wave of artistic styles that have since become mainstream in the entertainment industry.
As a director, Maciej co-directed the music video Lost for Linkin Park, which was nominated for a VMA and has amassed over 100 million views. He also directed the short film MECHA as part of YouTube Premier's feature and led the creation of White Rabbit Anime, which raised over $1 million for its creation. White Rabbit’s lead character, Mirai, became the first anime character to be featured on the cover of Vogue.
A self-taught artist who grew up behind the Iron Curtain, Maciej brought a unique perspective to visual storytelling, helping shape the look of award-winning franchises in film, video games, and beyond. His work in concept art and world-building has defined major projects, including The Last of Us, Joker: Folie à Deux, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Mufasa: The Lion King, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers films, and Rupert Sanders’ Ghost in the Shell.
