Director of The Addams Family and the new sequel The Addams Family 2.  Other director credits include Sausage Party, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, Monsters vs. Aliens and Shrek 2. He additionally served as a producer for both Addams films and Sausage Party. Additionally, he is the Executive Producer on Nickelodeon’s Galactic Shorts program.

He is executive producing on several animated features in development along with a television series for Amazon.

Voice acting credits include Mason the monkey in the Madagascar franchise, the Gingerbread Man in the Shrek films, Lurch in The Addams Family films and various roles in Sausage Party.

Prior to directing and producing, Vernon was a storyboard artist at Film Roman for The Simpsons. Other animation work includes: The Ren & Stimpy Show(writer and storyboard), Hanna-Barbera’s 2 Stupid Dogs and Nickelodeon’s Rocko’s Modern Life. Vernon began his career on Paramount Pictures Cool World as an animator, effects animator, gag writer, layout artist and character designer.
