Glenn Entis
Sr. Director & Executive Producer, Dear Upstairs Neighbors, Google DeepMind, Academy Award winner
Glenn’s first job as a computer animator was in 1977, animating on an analog/digital hybrid Rutt-Etra video synthesizer. In 1982 he co-founded the pioneering computer animation studio Pacific Data Images (which later became DreamWorks Animation) and won a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts for PDI’s software. In 1995, Glenn left PDI to become CEO of DreamWorks Interactive, where he oversaw a successful slate of titles, including the Medal of Honor series. Electronic Arts acquired DreamWorks Interactive, and Glenn eventually became SVP/Chief Visual Officer/Chief Technical Officer for EA Worldwide Studios. He left EA in 2008 to co-found Vanedge Capital, a successful venture capital fund based in Vancouver, BC. Glenn joined Google in 2022, and is currently a senior director at Google DeepMind where he was executive producer on the short film “Dear Upstairs Neighbors”, and leads teams exploring creative uses of AI. He lives in San Francisco with his wife Maria, and has 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
