Anthony Silverston is the Creative Director at Triggerfish, Africa’s leading animation studio, where he works with a team to develop a diverse slate of original TV and film projects for global release. He’s also one of the studio’s Managing Partners. He served as an Executive Producer on the groundbreaking anthology of 10 short films for Disney+ titled Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire, on
Mama K's Team 4 (Netflix) and Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes (eOne, Frogbox, Disney Jnr). He has written and co-directed several other projects including Khumba. More recently, he co-wrote a graphic novel called Pearl of the Sea, which has been published in French and Arabic (released in English in 2023). Additionally, Anthony co-founded Animation SA, the representative animation body of South Africa and was involved in various industry initiatives to grow the industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree and is a published scientist. When he’s not producing films, he’s out running the beautiful trails of Cape Town or road-tripping with his partner.
