David Bittler
Executive Vice President of Corporate Comms for Paramount Global Kids & Family, Nickelodeon
David Bittler is Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications for Paramount Global Kids & Family. In this role, he manages strategic communications and media relations for all of Nickelodeon and its networks, Awesomeness and their multiple platforms, spanning TV, digital, location-based experiences, global consumer products, and pro-social. Overseeing programming publicity for Nickelodeon’s top-rated content, Bittler also manages corporate communications for the Paramount Global Kids & Family Group, including ad sales, research, brand management and reputation, and marketing.
Bittler joined Viacom in 2000, and since then has held a number of positions at the company’s global brands. He has developed trade and business communications strategies for the office of the MTV Networks Chairman; helmed the press launch and public affairs outreach for Logo, the first ad-supported network for LGBTQ viewers; and led the press launches of Spike TV and The National Network (TNN).
Before his work in entertainment, Bittler began his career in news, managing communications for CNBC and, earlier, directing media communications as global breaking-news spokesperson for CNN in its Atlanta headquarters.
Bittler is an experienced crisis communications professional, devising and executing strategies for global-scale events. He has taught this subject at Columbia University and guest-lectured at NYU, among other speaking appearances. Bittler holds a B.A. in English and an M. A. in Southern American Literature.
