The third part of the Iron Man trilogy is a truly global visual effects effort. Using shots from the intricate Suit Connect sequences, the massive House Attack, the aerial Barrel of Monkeys and the huge Final Battle, Christopher Townsend, overall VFX Supervisor, will present the work behind one of the most successful films of all time.


Christopher Townsend, a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, was the overall VFX Supervisor on Iron Man 3. Originally from England, he traveled and worked throughout Asia and Australia before moving to the USA to work at ILM. Over the past two decades, he worked as an artist and supervisor on many influential movies, including Star Wars (the rerelease of the original, A New Hope, and the new trilogy), Mission: Impossible (1996), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), AI: Artificial Intelligence (2001), Day After Tomorrow (2004), The Island (2005), and the Academy Award-winning Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006). After becoming a freelance VFX Supervisor, he worked on many films including Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010) and Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). He is currently supervising for Marvel’s Avengers: the Age of Ultron
